Veneers
If your teeth require a cosmetic makeover due to staining, chipping, gaps, ridges, wear and tear or cracks, porcelain veneers can improve their appearance significantly, resulting in a beautiful, healthy smile that will last for years to come. Veneers are wafer-thin, translucent covers that are bonded to the front of the tooth and matched precisely to the tooth’s coloring.

Teeth whitening
Professional teeth whitening can be far more potent and results-oriented than over-the-counter products, and can create a healthy, glowing smile that radiates youthfulness and vitality. Discoloration is a natural part of the aging process, but stained teeth may also be due to poor genes, injury and trauma, illness, certain medications, smoking, drinking coffee or red wine, or an overdose of fluoride.

Anti-aging dentistry
Anti-aging dentistry addresses the changes that occur as the teeth get older. They often become discolored and stained, crooked, broken, chipped or misaligned. Dr. Fakhimi can address these problems, restoring radiance and youthfulness to the smile. Anti-aging dentistry can make the lips, jaw, mouth and cheeks all look more attractive without resorting to the use of plastic surgery or dermal fillers and injectables.

Porcelain crowns
Dental crowns are made from ceramic, porcelain-fused-to-metal, gold alloys, or base metal alloys. They are affixed to a tooth to protect it, cover the damaged portions, strengthen and fortify it. To create a customized crown, the dentist will take an impression of your teeth. The dentist may also file down a tooth’s surface to ensure the crown achieves an ideal fit.

Porcelain bridges
If you are missing teeth, a dental bridge is one option for replacement. Traditional dental bridges are made up of prosthetic teeth, called pontics, that are held in place through the use of dental crowns (abutments). Dental bridges are most often employed in situations where there are healthy teeth on either side of a gap.

Porcelain inlays and onlays
Inlays and onlays both address the restoration of a broken or damaged tooth, but the treatment tends to be more conservative than the use of a crown. These are a type of laboratory-produced filling that is then bonded to the tooth on an additional visit. These types of fillings fortify the structure of the teeth, strengthening them and make it easier to chew. The procedure is called an onlay when it refers to a tooth that will undergo restoration to multiple cusps. It is called an inlay when only the cusp tips are addressed.

Dentures and partials
Like implants, dentures are used to fill in the gaps when one or more teeth are missing. Dentures are common among older individuals who have lost their teeth through the natural process of aging. Dentures are either for the entire mouth, or just part of the jaw, in which case they are referred to as partials.
